Delivery Driver

Introduction

Delivery Driver is a civilian-based job which allows you to take delivery jobs to deliver 4 different kinds of goods to locations with 3 different kinds of truck/van types.

As a Delivery Driver, you will get a daily paycheck at 12:00 ($25,000).

They earn money depending on whenever they successfully complete each job contract and deliver it on time, and will lose reward money if they are late or pay a loss fee if goods are destroyed, unless they have an active delivery insurance (see Loss & Insurance)

As it is a civilian based job, it also means that every feature available for civilians are also available for delivery drivers: The only exception for this is the personal vehicles, as Delivery Drivers can ONLY use their job vehicles (trucks / vans) as personal vehicles. How to become a Delivery Driver ?

If you want to become a delivery driver, you’ll have to:

1. Be level 6+ on the server.
2. Go to a Delivery Company
3. Speak to the NPC and select “Switch to delivery driver”

You are now a Delivery Driver! Congratulations!

How to start a delivery job ?

You can access the list of delivery jobs available by either:

• pressing M / hold then going to Job Menu and after that Deliveries
• pressing Y / hold just after entering inside a van / commercial truck

You should have access to a list of jobs that should look like this:

Choose the good delivery job

Once you are on the job list, you can then browse all available jobs, and by hovering over them you can see multiple informations that can be useful in choosing a good job to take:

Information on the menu	Description
💰 Payout	The amount you’ll earn — only if delivered on time.
📦 Type of Delivery	Type of job — see the 4 types below.
⏱️ Deadline	Time remaining before the job expires. Missing the deadline reduces your payout (up to -40%).
📍 Pickup Location	Where the goods are picked up — includes distance from your position.
🎯 Delivery Location	either a fixed location for Long-Haul / Gas deliveries, or multiple locations for Parcel / Store Deliveries. The distance besides is for the distance between all points of the delivery

Note

Delivery jobs are shared across all players and updated with in-game time on the server, so somebody can take a job before you if you’re not fast enough.

There are 4 kinds of delivery jobs you can do while you are a delivery driver, each having their own requirement for vehicles needed and way to complete the deliveries:

Store Deliveries	Box Trucks	Delivering bulk goods to stores.
Long-Haul Deliveries	Semi-Trucks	Large trailer deliveries across the map.
Gas Deliveries	Semi-Trucks	Specialized fuel trailer deliveries to stations.

And for those jobs there is 3 kind of vehicles you can use to do those deliveries:

Vehicle Type	Description
Vans	most of the vans archetype of vehicles you can find.
Box Trucks	Medium-sized commercial vehicles for Store Deliveries (no trailer).
Semi-Trucks	Truck cabins used for Long-Haul and Gas jobs, trailer can be attached.

Access current job information

Once you have started a delivery job, you can access this job’s information:

Press M / holding then going to Job Menu → Current Delivery.

Here you can see information such as:

Section	Description
💰 Payout	Total amount you’ll earn if completed on time.
⏳ Time Left	Countdown before deadline hits. Going past it reduces reward up to -40%.
🧭 Itinerary	Lists all remaining drop-off points, with the distance left to the final stop.
⚙️ Other Info	Displays weight, value of goods, and vehicle type used.
❌ Cancel Delivery	Cancel your delivery if needed (e.g. vehicle destroyed, job is late, etc.).

Astuce

It cost less money to cancel the job than it is to fail it, so if your goods are stuck / about to get destroyed, it’s wiser to cancel the job.

Parcel Deliveries

Using a Van vehicle, you have to deliver between 10 to 20 parcels in a limited time to houses and businesses across Davis and Downtown.

First you have to go pick-up the goods you need to deliver: you will be given a GPS itinerary to the pickup location

You have to align yourself with the yellow arrow to pickup the goods.

Then after that you are given a GPS itinerary to the 1st dropoffyou have to do.

Once you get close enough to the dropoff, you get prompted to Deliver the package and you are also given given an arrow on the mini-map to know where to dropoff the parcel.

You have to get out of the van to deliver the parcels on foot.

You are given a box with a random size: small, medium or large box. Small and medium won’t have much effect on your running speed, but large-sized boxes will slow you down.

If you equip a weapon / item or get knocked down by a tazer / collide with an object, you’ll drop the parcel, and will have to go get it again from the truck.

You have to go inside the yellow circle to successfully dropoff the parcel.

You just have to do this until you get to the last dropoff point to get the reward money.

If the truck transporting the goods is destroyed, impounded or recalled, you will fail the job and will have to pay the loss of goods, unless:

• You have a delivery insurance (see Loss & Insurance)
• Your delivery vehicle got destroyed by another player (they will receive a fine)

Astuce

Each single parcel dropped off gives good XP points, which means that a completed parcel delivery will get lots of XP points.
This is perfect if you are a new player in need of XP to level up!

Store deliveries

Using a Box Truck, you have to deliver between 5 to 9 supplies at stores and warehouses across the city.

Unlike Parcel Deliveries, all deliveries are done while staying inside the truck.

First you have to go pickup the goods you need to deliver: you will be given a GPS itinerary to the Pickup location

You have to align yourself with the yellow arrows to pickup the goods.

Once you have the goods, you will be given a GPS itinerary to the 1st dropoff

You will have to align your truck with the yellow arrows to drop-off the goods.

Do all dropoff points until the last dropoff to complete the job and get the reward money.

If the truck containing the goods is destroyed, you will fail the job and will have to pay the loss of goods, unless:

• You have a delivery insurance (see Loss & Insurance)
• The truck got destroyed by another player (they will receive a fine)

Long-Haul Deliveries

Using a Semi-Truck, you have to go pick up a trailerat the pickup location, then drive that trailer to the dropoff locationto get your reward.

To pick-up the trailer using your semi-truck, get in front of the trailer then reverse the rear of your semi-truck into the trailer.

Once you are at the dropoff location, you’ll have to align the trailer with the yellow arrows, then detach the trailer once it’s aligned: you will get a prompt telling you when you can detach the trailer to complete the job.

When the trailer is successfully detached, you will get the money reward for the job!

If the trailer containing the goods is destroyed, you will fail the job and will have to pay the loss of goods, unless:

• You have a delivery insurance (see Loss & Insurance)
• Your delivery vehicle got destroyed by another player (they will receive a fine)

Gas Deliveries

Using a Semi-Truck, you have to go pick up a gas tank trailerat the pickup location, then drive that gas tank to the dropoff locationto get your reward.

To pickup the trailer using your semi-truck, get in front of the trailer then reverse the rear of your semi-truck into the trailer.

Once you are at the dropoff location, you’ll have to align the trailer with the yellow arrows, then detach the trailer once it’s aligned : you will get a prompt telling you when you can detach the trailer to complete the job. Once the trailer is detached, you get the money reward for the job

If the gas tank is destroyed, you will fail the job and will have to pay the loss of goods, unless:

• You have a delivery insurance (see Loss & Insurance)
• Your delivery vehicle got destroyed by another player (they will receive a fine)

Attention

Gas Tank are always 30 Tons, which means they are very slow to carry: take that into consideration for the deadline or distance, as it can be quite long to do a single gas delivery.

Loss & Insurance

If your goods (your van / truck / trailer) gets destroyed or recalled, you will have to pay the value of the goods lost.

You can access the value of the goods by going into the Current Delivery menu.

You can prevent those kind of losses by buying Delivery Insurances at a Delivery Company:

Speak to the NPC to buy up to 5 delivery insurance at once, each delivery will consume 1 delivery insurance to cover the job.

There is a 90% chance for insurance to cover your losses: if you are lucky, then you’ll have nothing to pay if the goods are destroyed. Else you will have to cover the bill yourself…

Attention

If a player destroys your goods, they will instead be the one paying the loss, even if you had an insurance.

Late fee

If you go past the deadline, the final reward will start lowering every passing second, up to -40% of the original reward

Do your best to not be late, and finish the delivery before the deadline!

Personal delivery vehicles

Delivery drivers have their own personal delivery vehicles available to buy and use to do their job.

However, unlike regular civilians, they can ONLY buy and use their job vehicles, no other vehicles.

The Delivery vehicles work the same as all other vehicles :that means you can deliver / recall, put in maintenance, replace or mod them. (more details on Personal vehicles)

How to buy delivery vehicles ?

To buy a personal delivery vehicle, you have to go to one of those 3 Delivery Companies:

• Elysian Island (delivery company 2/5 on the map)
• Cypress Flats (delivery company 3/5 on the map)
• Vinewood (delivery company 4/5 on the map)

Then speak to the NPC and go to Vehicles to access the job dealership: there you will be able to purchase vans / trucks of your choice among the available options.

You will be able to see which kind of vehicle each one is before buying it (van / box / semi) to know which are usable for a certain kind of delivery.

Once you bought your new delivery vehicle, you can access it by:

• Pressing M / hold then going to Vehicles -> vehicle —> Deliver
• Going in the red circle at the Job Garagethen choosing the vehicle

Uniforms

Although Delivery Drivers can use regular civilian clothing, they also have access to unique Uniforms they can buy at Delivery Companies

Tips & Tricks for Deliveries

• Don’t pick deliveries that don’t have much time left: you will lose money for being late and will only make you stress more while doing the delivery.
  Take the jobs with more time instead to prepare for everything that could go wrong!

• You are not forced to buy any personal delivery vehicle: you can just go to Elysian Island or Cypress Flats, and look for some vans or trucks to steal there.

• For Gas deliveries, only take those that are in the city: Gas deliveries are the longest jobs to do because of the gas tank weight, so taking a delivery where the dropoff is not far (in the city) is a good way to avoid losing time traveling to the end of the map with a slow truck.
  Only take long gas deliveries if they have more than 10 minutes left and pay above $500,000.
