Introduction
In order to do almost every activity in Cops and Robbers V whether it as a civilian, police officer or paramedic, you will need a vehicle, but you cannot just go and steal a random car every time you spawn or respawn in the server: this is why personal vehicles are a thing !
You can buy vehicles at different dealerships around the map, and you can store them inside garages. After buying your vehicle you can modify it and use it whenever you want to !
How to buy personal vehicles ?
To buy and use a personal vehicle, you first need to own a garage
Delivery Drivers, Paramedics & Police Officers have their own job garage.
There are 3 different kinds of garages available, each with their pros and cons:
- Small â 2 vehicles capacity inside, common on the map & relatively cheap to buy.
- Price range: â$300,000 around the city & â$200,000 in the countryside.
- Medium â 6 vehicles capacity, only around populated areas (downtown, davis, sandy shores,âŚ) & cost a bit more money
- Price range: â$400,000 to $500,000.
- Large â 12 vehicles capacity, only in the city, cost a lot of money & requires at least a Silver membership to buy.
- Price range â$1,000,000 to $1,500,000.
See Memberships for more details.
Once you have a garage with some empty space for a vehicle inside, you must go to one of the 4 dealerships on the map to buy your vehicle.
Dealerships
When you go to a dealership, you can see a preview of all the vehicles available with their prices, modding options, level and membership requirements.
You are also given the possibility to test drive them, with some conditions to respect :
- You have 2 minutes to test the vehicle
- You must pay a âcautionâ fee to test the vehicle.
- If you donât do any damage, you get back 20% of your caution fee.
- If you do any damage on the vehicle, you wonât get back your caution fee

Vehicle rental services
Car rental

At the Los Santos International Airport or at the Sandy Shores Airfield, you can find some car rental service , a service that allows you to rent some rental cars for a full week in-game (â3 hours in real life) for a small price depending on the rented car.
This service is quite useful for new players, as you donât have a level or membership requirement to rent vehicles. But as a drawback, you cannot mod a rented car at all.
Rented cars work the same way as regular vehicles (see personal vehicles menu) with only some small differences:
- Rented cars are sorted separately from regular vehicles stored in garages.
- The Vehicle management is a bit different, to extend / terminate the rental instead of selling the vehicle.

Bike & ATVs rental

At the Vespucci Beach Rental Service or the Paleto Bay Rental Service , youâll be able to rent some bikes and ATVs for a full week in-game *(â3H in real life) for a small price depending on then rented bike/ATV.
There is no level or membership requirement to rent those bikes/ATVs, so it is quite useful for new players. However as a drawback, you cannot mod any rented bike/ATV.
Rented bikes/ATVs work the same way as regular vehicles (see personal vehicles menu) with only some small differences:
- Rented cars are sorted separately from regular vehicles stored in garages.
- The Vehicle management is a bit different, to extend / terminate the rental instead of selling the vehicle.
How to use vehicles ?
Once you have your vehicles, you have multiple options to manage and call them depending on your current job and the type of vehicle.
Personal vehicles menu
You can access all your vehicles by pressing M / holding
then by going to âVehiclesâ.
In the personal vehicles menu, you can see all your garages, vehicles, the state they are in and your currently active vehicle if you have one.
From this menu you can also:
- Search for a specific vehicle using E /
- See which vehicles are low on fuel / damaged and need repairs.
- Set favorite vehicles using TAB /
.
- These vehicles will have a star â besides them and will appear at the top of your vehicle list
- Press F5 /
to refresh your vehicles list. Mainly used after moving vehicles between garages or adding/removing vehicles as favorite.

Vehicle delivery
If you want to call a vehicle, find it in the vehicle menu then press Enter /
while it is highlighted.
Doing so will open the Vehicle management of the vehicle, in which you can choose to Deliver your vehicle.
The cost of delivery of the vehicle depends on itâs value.
Once a delivery starts, a âValetâ NPC will spawn nearby and bring you your vehicle: the type of valet that brings you the vehicle depends on the value of the delivered vehicle, and sometimes Vehicle delivery can fail for multiple reasons:
â ď¸ Reason | đŹ Explanation |
---|---|
đ¸ Insufficient bank funds | You must deposit enough money into your bank account before starting a delivery. |
đ Changing jobs | Switching jobs during delivery will immediately cancel it. |
đşď¸ Leaving the delivery area | Going too far from the drop-off zone causes automatic cancellation. |
đŤ Unreachable delivery location | Delivering in areas such as: ⢠Mountains ⢠Ocean / Sea ⢠Cayo Perico ⢠Flying (Helicopter / Plane) âŚwill invalidate the delivery. |
â ď¸ Valet NPC dies | If your valet is killed by players, the environment, or due to bugs, delivery fails. |
đ Vehicle in maintenance | You cannot call a vehicle that is currently under maintenance. (see Vehicle Management) |
There is a 1 minute and 30 seconds cooldown before you are able to call another vehicle for delivery.
This also happens if the previous delivery has failed for any of the reasons mentioned above.
From a garage
Civilian can enter their garages to get their vehicles themselves. Once they are there, they just need to enter the red circle at the entrance, then can press E /
to enter the garage.
While inside they can then get in a vehicle and drive it out of the garage just like in GTA Online.

Delivery Drivers, Police Officers and Paramedics cannot go inside their job garages, but will instead have access to their vehicles directly at their job garages /
/
.
Calling a vehicle this way has a 30 seconds delay between spawns, and doesnât have the same cooldown as regular vehicle delivery.
If you have a membership-locked garage, you can still go inside and take out the vehicles inside, but you wonât be able to manage these vehicles outside of the garage. See FAQ for more information.
Using commands
You can deliver your personal vehicles using the /veh-deliver [plate] command in the chat, âplateâ being the identification plate of the vehicle to deliver.
Itâs a good way to call vehicles quickly without going to the vehicle menu, especially as an emergency-job player.
Vehicle management
You can manage your vehicles in multiple ways using the Personal vehicle menu, Driving vehicle menu or with the help of a mechanic player.
Personal vehicles menu
You can manage a vehicle from the personal vehicles menu using multiple options :
- Deliver / Store a vehicle: Deliver a vehicle, or if already delivered stores the currently used vehicle. (see vehicle delivery)
You cannot recall the vehicle if itâs currently being towed to an impound for 3 minutes & 45 seconds.
- Send a vehicle to maintenance: fully repair and refuel your vehicle, but makes it unable to be used while maintenance happens.
Maintenance cost depends on the value of your vehicle.
- Replace a vehicle: Replaces your vehicle if it got fully destroyed (blown up or fell into water). The replacing price depends on the value of the vehicle.
- History: shows information about your vehicleâs purchase (price & date of purchase).
- Sell your vehicle: Sell a vehicle for 60% of the price you bought it at.

You cannot use delivery or maintenance on a membership-locked vehicle or vehicles stored inside a membership-locked garage if your membership has expired. See memberships for more information.
âDashboardâ vehicle menu
While driving a vehicle (even if itâs not your vehicle), you can access its âdashboardâ menu by pressing U / double-tap
.
Inside this menu you will be able to access multiple options to manage your vehicle while driving :
- Lock (personal vehicles only): you can lock or unlock your personal vehicle so that nobody can enter as passenger or carjack you while itâs locked.
- Can also be done using the commands /lock or /unlock while inside your vehicle.
- You can also remotely lock or unlock your vehicle by pressing U / double-tapping
while being in a â25 meters range around your vehicle when outside of it.
- Engine: turns your vehicles engine off/on to save fuel. (takes â1 seconds to turn on again)
- Can also be done using the command /engine .
- Windows: open or close your vehicle windows if they are not broken.
- Hood: open or close the hood of your vehicle if it has one, in order to access the engine (needed in order to use an engine repair kit).

- Can also be done using the command /siren .
- Eject a passenger: forcefully eject any passenger inside the vehicle, as long as you are the driver.
- Can also be done using the command /eject [player id] .

You can quickly check the health and fuel % of your car at the top of the menu in every vehicle you drive (including helicopters and planes)
You can also use the /veh-menu command to open this menu while being a passenger (quite useful especially to lock a personal vehicle youâre not driving).
Repair & mod a personal vehicle
You can repair all vehicles at a mechanic store or a mod shop
.
To do so, press E /
while being near the NPC on those spots.
Here is the layout of the mechanic menu :
- Repair â repairs and washes your vehicle (engine, body, tires). The more damage your vehicle has, the higher the repair cost will be.
- Custom plate â gives you the option to choose a custom identification plate for your vehicle. (only in mod shops)
It is a Silver membership perk (see membership), and each plate is unique to a vehicle, which means an already taken plate cannot be used again by you.
- More services â access mechanic players shop if there are any (this option is greyed out if there is none)
- Switch to mechanic â change job and become a mechanic.

If there are any mechanic player at those spots, you will be able to access their services menu, and if you inside a mod shop also be able to modify your vehicles.
To do so, either:
- Go to âmore servicesâ in the mechanic store / mod shop menu
- Wait for the mechanic player to offer their services then press Y / hold
.

Custom liveries
On some supported emergency vehicles and some delivery vehicles, you can add custom personal liveries or crew liveries that change the way your vehicle will look.
For more information on this, check out Crew & memberships
Impounded vehicles
If you parked your vehicle illegally and a mechanic player with a tow truck tows it to an Impound , your vehicle will be unusable (no delivery or maintenance) until you go to the impound and pay the impound fee.
The impound fee depends on the value of your personal vehicle.
To get back an impounded vehicle, go to any of the 8 Impounds on the map, then go to the red circle there and press E /
to open the impound menu and pay the fee.

Tips & Tricks
-
Have a /veh-store keybind: using the FiveM console (F8 ) and the command
rbind gtacnr keyboard â[key]â âveh-storeâ
, you can have a quick way of storing your vehicle. This is useful to avoid having your vehicle be stolen, towed or destroyed.Check out Other settings for more information on how to create console keybinds.
-
Do maintenance regularly: it makes repairing / refueling your vehicle way easier, although it cost a bit of money and takes a bit of time. Especially useful for electric vehicles (long charge time)
-
Always lock your vehicle: always lock your vehicle, both while being inside and especially outside of it to avoid it being stolen.
-
Use low-cost vehicles: although performance-wise it might not be as good, having a low-cost vehicle will make everything cheaper (repair, maintenance, replace, etc)
-
Test drive vehicles: testing vehicles doesnât cost much to do inside dealerships, and gives you an idea about the performance / appearance of the vehicle, and if itâs worth buying or not.
